About The House on Acacia
The House on Acacia is a first-person supernatural restoration horror game inspired by the historic California home where its creator grew up.
The player returns to restore the deteriorating house after the deaths of the family members who once lived there. Repairs uncover concealed spaces, conflicting memories, family history, and spirits whose fates may depend upon what the player chooses to believe.
As the investigation progresses, the house changes—opening paths toward Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, or a return to the living world
A Creator-Led Project
Created and directed by Jonathan Glen Roberts, The House on Acacia draws upon his childhood memories, family history, and firsthand knowledge of the real house that inspired its setting.
Development began as a solo effort under Mid-Life Crits LLC and the Cornell Crits creator brand. The project is being built publicly through an Unreal Engine learning journey, with each system developed toward a focused playable vertical slice.
